The series is about the red light area of the Heeramandi district in Lahore. In the thick area Where tawaifs ruled over it. With Manisha KoiralaSonakshi Sinha, and Aditi Rao Hydari leading the women of Heeramandi, the Netflix series starts strong with a crafty conflict for the right to rule the district.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar is a period-action drama that is essentially a family drama. In the series, Sisters Rihanna, Malikajaan, and Waheed clash for power and end up betraying one another. The result of this spills over to the second generation with cousins Fareedana, Alamzeb, and Bibbojaan. They are trapped in the same as their elders. Added to this series there is a male-dominated society ruled by the Nawabs in the British era.

Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar performances 

In the series, Manisha Koirala leads the series as the master manipulator of the Heeramandi. She leads the character of Malikjaan in the series. Hydari is cast as the Bibbojaan in the series. Sonakshi Sinha has a revenge arc that falls a bit flat and portrays the character of Fareedan. Sharmin Segal is as Alamzeb in the series. Richa Chadh's Lajjo appeared too briefly.
