Sharing a picture on her social media with the award, Kubbra Sait penned a heartfelt note, it read, “Hey Ya’all…I woke up this morning a little different than yesterday… this morning I woke up as an award winning author. I am trying but I cannot wipe off the grin & the joy from my face. I slept with a smile”
“Yesterday it also happened to be my first attendance at a Literature festival. @blrlitfest was the amalgamation of so many beautiful souls. I have lost a count of how many of us shared smiles and hugs, I am grateful that we did. This trophy… yes… returning to the massive prestigious win from last evening… it’s a beautiful bonsai tree and a Happy singing bird. It a trophy that weighs heavy and is symbolic of hope to me”

Kubbra Sait’s ‘Open Book – Not quite a memoir’ won the AG-BLF Book Prize in the Popular Choice category. This book is Kubbra’s first attempt at being an author and she has left all of us wanting more of Kukkoo Ka Magic.
Meanwhile on the work front, Kubbra Sait will next be seen in The Good Wife, a legal and political series directed by Suparn Verma and featuring Kajol in the lead role. The series is centred on a housewife who, after 13 years, returns to work at a law firm to support her family when her husband gets imprisoned.
