When asked about turning producer and his experience, Vidyut said, “Before I turned producer, it is my experience whether it is south or Hindi movie set, if the cast and crew are having fun on sets, that film works. So as a producer, I am not sure about the pain, but we had boat load of fun, there was no hierarchy, this place is for hero, this space is for villain, everyone was all over the place, so as a producer I had fun and making sure other people have fun as well, I enjoyed it thoroughly.”

Vidyut often plays the role of savior on-screen and credits his role selection based on genes. He said, “I think it is in my genes and destiny as well, my father was in army, my grandfather was in army, they were saving someone or the other through their lives and I am doing it on screen. And I think if I keep on doing it more, it will be better.”

IB71 narrated the story of a mission that has been hidden for 50 years during 1971 war, the film also stars Anupam Kher in key role.

Sankalp Reddy, who previously oversaw The Ghazi Attack, has helmed the project, which is backed by T-Series Film, and Reliance Entertainment and Action Hero Films. The movie will premiere in theatres on May 12, 2023.
