Footprints On Water To Premiere At UK Asian Film Festival Confirms Adil Hussain

Directed by Nathalia Syam, the film was shot in the middle of the pandemic, the film also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Lena, Danny Sura, and Antonio Aakeel.

Sharing a poster on the film, Adil Hussain tweeted, “We are thrilled to announce our British feature, Footprints On Water, an illegal immigrant drama set in Birmingham, is set to premiere with UK Asian Film Festival in London on 13th of May, as part of their 25th Silver Jubilee Programme. I will have the privilege to attend!”

The film revolves around Raghu, a migrant from Bihar who grew up in Fort Kochi in Kerala as his father owned a textile shop there. After the death of his first wife, with whom he had a daughter Meera, he is married to a much younger Malayali woman. Raghu and his family move with another family to the UK and then goes under the radar to become one of the faceless illegal immigrants in the UK.

Meanwhile on the work front, Adil Hussian will soon be seen in Netflix series titled Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, written and directed by Pratim Dasgupta. Produced by Rishi Negi, under Endemol Shine India, it also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Tanya Maniktala, Revathi, Tillotama Shome, and Sikandar Kher. The series will premiered on Netflix on 20 April 2023.
