In the month of February 2023, Rajasthan CM Mr. Ashok Gehlot presents the last budget of his current tenure – with the finalization of the budget done in the presence of secretary finance & revenue – Mr Krishna Kant Pathak, additional chief secretary finance Akhil Arora, Secretary Finance (Budget), Rohit Gupta, Secretary Finance Expenditures) Naresh Kumar and Director Budget – Brajesh Sharma.
According to the budget highlights, 100 units/month electricity will be provided free of charge to domestic consumers. It was 50 units per month in the last budget.
“No Multiple Fee Will be Charged” as one time registration will be required to appear in competitive exams.
Medical cover under Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme will be increased to Rs 25 Lakh per family per year. It was earlier 10 Lakhs.
The Government will bring law to ensure entitlement-based social security. The law will ensure entitlement-based social security. Minimum of Rs 1000 Pension under social security scheme will be provided; while rise of 15% in pension under social security schemes.
According to the budget, Jaipur, Kota and Jodhpur will have psychological centers; while free scooty for meritorious students will be provided with an increase of 10000. It will be now Rs. 30,000.
According to CM, a special task force will be formed under the SOG – mainly to prevent and probe question paper leaks.
LPG cylinder will be provided at Rs 500 to 76 Lakh families in the state under Ujjawala Scheme.
The budget is designed and presented by keeping in mind the election next year. Government has been trying to make a social balance.
