Actress Aahana Kumra says she isn’t scared of any medium, whether it is theatre, films, digital, television or more, she doesn’t believe in boxing herself.
Aahana Kumra was interacting with NewsHelpline during a press conference for the forthcoming web-series Avrodh Season 2.
Aahana Kumra started her journey with theatre and now a respected name among her peers. Talking about working across every medium, she said, “I did theatre, television, film, and OTT, so I don’t think I can ever box myself into one thing. I’d done sports anchoring, I’d done shows, I am doing one more show with ViaCom18, I am here to do everything. I don’t think I am not scared of any medium, give you give me a project, I’d try and do with honesty”
Avrodh is based on Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book India’s Most Fearless. The second season of Avrodh is inspired by the ninth chapter of the book India’s Most Fearless.
Talking about playing a negative role in the new season, Aahana said, “My character, she is every educated and learned girl, and there is reason why she is behaving in a certain way, and to be honest, in this generation, a hero isn’t really a hero and villain is not necessarily the evil, everything has grey shades, and so multi-layered, and this one is written so well, all the characters are interesting”
The new season stars Abir Chatterjee, Anant Mahadevan, Krishna Hebbale, Mohan Agashe, Neeraj Kabi, Rajesh Khattar, Sanjay Suri, and Vijay Krishnan.
The series is written by Brijesh Jayrajan and Sudeep Nigam and directed by Raj Acharya. It is produced by Applause Entertainment in cooperation with Juggernaut Productions. The second season will be released on June 24 on SonyLIV.
