WPL 16th match and 2nd match of Saturday was played at Brabourne Stadium between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants. GG won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 188 runs in 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. In return, RCB cracked the target in 15.3 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. After many failure now RCB is coming in the form, today it was the second match that RCB made in their name. RCB struggled till 5th match in the tournament for the victory. They have won their first match against UPW.

GG’s Opener batsman Dunkley and Wolvaardt flew off the innings. For the first wicket they added 27 runs to the Team score. Wolvaardt scored fifty by scoring 68 runs for 42 balls. RCB’s Shreyanka Patil took 2 wickets while Devine and Bose took 1-1 wickets each.

Chasing 189 runs, Captain Smriti Mandhana and Sohpie Devine shown aggressive start to the innings. In the powerplay they took the Team score to 77 runs without any wicket loss. In 9.2 overs Mandhana and Devine added 125 runs to the Team score. Ellyse Perry and Heather Knight played unbeaten inning for 19 and 22 runs respectively.

GG’s Sneha Rana and Kim Garth took 1-1 wickets each.
