Kimmince first entered the international arena as a tearaway opening quick at 18 years of age, before taking a hiatus from cricket in 2009.

The Queenslander returned to the game ahead of the 2012-13 season and, while her pace with the ball still remained, the 25-year-old had reinvented herself as a more-than-handy opening batter. 

With her new role at the top of the order Kimmince lead the Queensland Fire to the Women’s Twenty20 domestic championship in 2013-14 and took home the final’s Most Valuable Player award.

Kimmince’s versatility as a both an aggressive bowling option and an intelligent batter, along with her world-class abilities in the field, led to her being selected in Australia's squad for the 2013 ICC World T20 tournament in Bangladesh where she performed well in two matches.

Kimmince enjoyed her first series on home soil since 2008 when she was selected in the Australian side to take on Pakistan in 2014, tallying 74 runs at an average of 24 and snaring six wickets in four T20Is to go with 42 runs in her only ODI – the first time Kimmince had ever batted for the Australia in 11 one-day fixtures.

In 2018, Kimmince was an integral part of the Australian Women's cricket team, which went all the way to win a fourth ICC World T20 championship.

Kimmince claimed her first WBBL title in 2019 after playing a vital role in Brisbane Heat's 2018-19 championship winning team.
