Whether opening the batting or taking wickets with his handy off-spin, Mohammad Hafeez is an integral part of the Pakistan line-up.

The allrounder made his international debut in 2003 and consolidated his place across all formats of the game in 2011.

In that breakthrough year Hafeez won 10 man-of-the-match awards in international cricket and become only the third player, behind Sanath Jayasuriya and Jacques Kallis, to score more than 1000 runs and take more than 30 wickets in ODI cricket in a calendar year.

He played two games during the 2007 World Cup, and eight during the 2011 edition.

His best World Cup performance was against West Indies in 2011 when he scored an unbeaten 61, while his ODI career to date has featured nine centuries and 21 fifties.

Hafeez scored a Test-career best of 224 against Bangladesh in April 2015.

Hafeez was suspended from bowling by the ICC in early December 2014 after his action was found to be illegal and was later ruled out of Pakistan's ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 squad due to injury.
