Regarded as the next big thing in Victorian cricket, Sophie Molineux has enjoyed an unrivalled junior career.
The under-18 Victorian captain is a talented top-order batter and left-arm spinner, also spending time learning from the state’s as a rookie in the VicSpirit squad.
In 2014, having just turned 16, Molineux was named Player of the Championships at the Under-18 Nationals. She was the highest run-scorer for Victoria with 155 runs and also claimed 19 wickets for the tournament, at an incredible average of just 3.9.
Molineux has also proved she’s capable on the big stage, performing well for the Melbourne Renegades in the inaugural season of the WBBL.
In 2018, Molineux was an integral part of the Australian Women's cricket team, which went all the way to win a fourth ICC World T20 championship.
