Former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been on a long break since the World Cup. Dhoni will also not play in the series against West Indies, South Africa and upcoming Bangladesh, but his popularity has not decreased.

A recent survey by YouGov has revealed that Dhoni is the second most admired person in the country after Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this case, current captain Virat Kohli and veteran Sachin Tendulkar are also ahead. The survey was conducted for 42,000 people in 41 countries for both women and men. Among women, boxer SC Mary Kom is the most admired woman in the country. Prime Minister Modi is in the first place in the survey with 15.66 per cent while Dhoni has been inspired by 8.58 per cent people. This is followed by Ratan Tata 8.02 per cent, Barack Obama 7.36 per cent and Bill Gates 6.96 per cent. While Sachin Tendulkar is at 5.81 per cent. Among women, 10.36 per cent of people have been motivated by Mary Kom.
