Indian Audience Is Maturing And Content Is Working Says Boney Kapoor
Film producer Boney Kapoor says that the content is doing well and it’s a good sign that Indian audience is maturing on the sidelines of Bala screening in Mumbai.
The makers of Bala, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam, organized a special screening of the film last night in Mumbai. The screening of the film was attended by Boney Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Ileana D'Cruz among others.
Talking about the content driven cinema, Boney Kapoor said, “It is a good thing that films with content are doing well. Films are running not because of only stars, they are definitely the center forward to help the content get accepted far easier.
And it is good sign that the audience in our country has matured”
Talking about Bala, Boney said, “Definitely there is excitement; I think the movie has a lot of potential. I liked the trailer, and I think Ayushmann Khurrana is in full form. Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar, both are good actors. Definitely it’s going to be a fun film”
Meanwhile on the work front, Boney Kapoor has interesting projects in pipeline, which he is bankrolling under his home production company. Movies such as Maidaan, Valimai, Pink remake (Telugu) and Badhaai Ho remake.
Maidaan is a sport biographical film directed and written by Amit Ravindrenath Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios.
The film features Ajay Devgn and Keerthi Suresh in the lead roles. Devgn stars as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
The film will tell the story of golden era of Indian football 1952-1962. This film marks the debut of Keerthy Suresh in Bollywood.
