About seven months have elapsed in the start of Cricket World Cup in England. In such a situation, Team India is also engaged in strengthening its preparations. In this order, it has placed some demands before the Committee of Administrators (COA) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Recently in the review meeting held in Hyderabad, the COA was told that players should be allowed to keep their wives together during World Cup.
Instead of road traffic, players should be allowed to travel by train. Also, Banana must be arranged in breakfast with other fruits.
A few months ago, the Indian team started their tour in England with the victory of the T-20 series, but after that, they lost both ODI and Test series. A review meeting was held in Hyderabad a few days before the same tour.
Apart from Captain Virat Kohli, Vice-Captain Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, coach Ravi Shastri and chief selector MSK Prasad were also present in the meeting. According to the reports, when the team demanded banana to be included in fruit, COA members get shocked.
According to the news, "The England Cricket Board had failed to provide fruits to the Indian team as per their choice during the tour. However, on demand of the players, the COA said that the team manager should have been told to buy bananas at BCCI's expenditure.
Team India asked COA to book their stay in such hotels for the players' in which there is a systematic gym. Apart from this, there is also discussion about the Protocol for keeping wives together during the tour.
On this demand, the CoA told Team India that they will seek written consent from all the team members before taking any decision. COA member Diana Edulji had said a few days ago that no decision will be taken in this case hastily.
COA team was surprised at the demand of allowing India to travel by train during World Cup. However, Kohli and Co. argued on this issue that it would also be safe and would save time as well.
