Gujarat: An Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot lost his lives as Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed in Kutch district of Gujarat on Tuesday. The incident occurred on Tuesday when plane was going on a daily training mission.

“Today (Tuesday) morning a Jaguar aircraft on a routine training mission from Jamnagar crashed around 10:30 am. The pilot AOC Sanjay Chauhan sustained fatal injuries during the crash,” defence representative Lieutenant Colonel Manish Ojha affirmed.
Natives of Beraja village in Mundra taluka recovered the debris of the aircraft and told the matter to police as well as district administration.
Pilot AOC Sanjay Chauhan had handled several important positions including Commanding Officer and fighter squadron. He was honored with Vayu Sena Medal in year 2010.
In March, two air force pilots lost their lives following a aircraft crashed at Majuli district in Assam.

In April, Mi-17 aircraft crashed in Kedarnath of Uttarakhand that wounded six people. Last month, IAF aircraft also crashed in Natha Top of Jammu and Kashmir on May 23.
