Heavy rain is likely to hit many parts of the Kerala coast today as Southwest Monsoon reaches in the state on Tuesday. IMD has directed fishermen in the state to not carry out fishing along the sea.

As per Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon is expected to hit low-pressure area and is slowly going to north side.
The Met Dept has predicted that monsoon might hit Lakshadweep, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maldives, Southeast Arabian Sea, Andaman and Nicobar islands, Comorin areas and southwest Bay of Bengal.
As per the reports, at least nine people lost their lives due to thunderstorm in UP.
On the other hand, heatwave will hit several parts of North India. The scorching weather is expected to continue in West Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Chandigarh.

Light rainfall is expected in Jammu and Kashmir whereas the temperature of Himachal Pradesh, northwestern plains, Uttarakhand would continue sunny.
