Paris is overflowing with beautiful, world-famous buildings and monuments and has been called the capital of many things: romance, fashion and food.
when I was younger, like most of the girls I too had a dream of going to Paris once in a lifetime. After all, Paris will alway remain as one of the most romantic places in the world. It was a three nights and four days tour. Me and my husband were so darn lucky because we have travelled in the month of August which is a best time to travel in Paris, when the sun rises at 6:30AM and sets at 9:15PM which gives us an ample of time to roam around and explore the city.
So going back to our Paris tour, we stayed at Novotel Suites, it’s a cozy hotel and close to many famous attractions in Paris.
Day -1 of my trip starts with a walk to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, which is an exhibition centre in Paris, France which was around 1.5km from my hotel. It is the largest exhibition park in France. The place is pretty good to spend 2-3 hours.
The Day-2 started with the trip to Palace of Versailles.
Normal Entry Price: Adult: €18.00 but you can also opt for Paris pass then the entry will be free.
The Palace of Versailles is one of the largest and most opulent castles in the world. A fine example of 18th century French architecture and art, it is one of the most visited attractions – and castles – in France, as well as being a UNESCO’s World Heritage site in Paris and a must-see French landmark.
The place was over-crowded with the tourists and it took us almost 60 mins to get in the palace.
The Palace boasts around 2,143 windows, 1,252 fireplaces, and 67 staircases. What are the major attractions of the Palace of Versailles: -
Hall of Mirrors, Chapel of Versailles, Grand Apartment, Versailles Garden.
It is too big to be covered but you can spend 4-5 hours easily in the palace. The Versailles Garden was one of my favourites in the palace.
After Palace of Versailles, it was the turn of "Eiffel Tower", a symbol of love.
When people talk about France, what is the first thing that come to mind? Paris or Eiffel Tower. Eiffel Tower is one of the most recognizable structures in the World. The Eiffel Tower is divided into three level and access to these three levels has different entrance fee.
What is the fee of Eiffel Tower?
To top and 2nd floor (by using Lift) : €17.00
2nd floor only (by using Lift) : €11.00
To 2nd floor only (by using Stairs) : €7.00
During my visit, i took the ticket to the top because i don't want to walk up the stairs to 2nd floor because the tower is so tall high up but if you are physically fit enough, then you may try. The lift will not take you directly up to the top floor, you will need to change another lift at 2nd floor. If you love to kiss your partner, there is actually a kissing place on the Eiffel Tower, hahaha !
Finally I was on second floor of 'The Eiffel Tower' and the view from the top of the tower and also the cold wind of Paris blowing at the top level was making it more exciting and happening. The surrounding area at the Eiffel Tower is good for photography too. After taking Loadsss of pictures , we came to the first floor to see the newly installed transparent glass floor. Here you can find variety of restaurants as well :)
Night view of the Eiffel Tower is totally different from that day. The view is mesmerizing in the night and would recommend the same to everyone.
After Eiffel Tower, it was the turn of seeing the romantic city of Paris by boat which is on the must-do list of most visitors to Paris and a Seine cruise is a very popular way to see Paris. These short river cruises allow you to take in many of the highlights of the city—the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, Notre Dame, etc.—as you float along the famous Seine River. We have opted for Paris Sightseeing Boat but there are Dinner cruises also available. The sightseeing cruises will cost you from 14 Euros-18 Euros for around 1 hour.
After a day out in Paris, we were back to hotel and in the evening we were ready for "Illumination tour of Paris". This Paris night tour which last for around 1.5 hours will takes you through the city providing an easy way for you to see famous landmarks lit up after dark. You’ll travel past illuminated attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, place de la Concorde, the Opera House, and Arc de Triomphe. In this night tour, you can witness the iron lady light show in which it twinkles every hour for 5 minutes. You will definitely love the City of Lights when the nights come.
So, this way we have completed the day-2 of our trip in Paris.
On Day-3 we were ready for 'Disneyland'...No matter how old you are, Disney is always so magical! I was so excited I got to go to Disneyland Paris.
Taking those first steps through the gate, walking down Main Street…. I felt like a kid again!! The happiest, most magical place on earth… in the most romantic city on earth! I wanted to get Mickey Ears, Disneyland Paris souvenirs, ride all the rides, and of course eat all the food! ;)
Disneyland Paris comprises 2 theme parks: The castle theme park, Disneyland Park and second park, Walt Disney Studios Park. We have opted for Disneyland Park. Since we have been there on weekend it was very crowdy s could not enjoy many rides but have covered the important rides though such as Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain , Indiana Jones,Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Le Carrousel de Lancelot. For food we have been to Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost, here you can find good veg options.
After enjoying the rides , it was the time for DisneyLand daily parade which starts at 5:30PM. The Disneyland Parade draws a big crowed and on busy days at Disneyland so find the right spot: there are places that offer a perfect view of the Disney Parade and give you a great backdrop to take fantastic photos. While the area in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle is good for pictures. The fireshow in the park happens at 9:30PM so we could not attend it. Such a fun, magical day at Disneyland Paris!! :)
Lido De paris:- Le Lido de Paris is the most famous nightclub in the world and one of the most mythical establishments of Champs Elysées.It is famous for cabret dance and music and is recommended for people 12 years and above. Please be in formal dress for this show else you will not be allow to enter. Sensual, elegant and spectacular, the Lido cabaret will take your breath away and leave you dazzled.
