Chennai Super Kings won 1 st Quaterfinal against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday at Wankhede stadium. CSK’s batsmen Faf Du plessis and Shardul Thakur played responsible innings for their team and rewarded their team victory against SRH.

By winning this game CSK got their seats confirmed for finals. CSK won the toss and skipper M.S Dhoni decided to field first. Batting first SRH put 139 runs on board with loss of 7 wickets. Chennai’s bowling team made it very tough for SRH to reach on score of 139 runs. Dj Bravo took 2 wickets on 25 runs in 4 overs, Deepak Chahar, Lungi Ngidi, Ravindra Jadeja and SN Thakur took 1-1 wickets each respectively.
It was not a easy way for CSK to chase the target of 140 runs in 20 overs and both the teams gave tough competition to each other. Chennai lost it’s early wickets as Shane Watson, Skipper M.S Dhoni, Ambati Rayadu and Suresh Raina, which almost shattered the hopes of Chennai Super Kings of winning the match.

But opener Faf Du Plessis continued on the batting pitch and scored 67 runs and Shardul Thakur scored 15 runs and took their to finals. Sandeep Sharma,Rashid Khan and Siddharth kaul took 2-2 wickets each respectively and pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 1 wicket for his team.Sunrisers Hyderabad have one more chance left by their side to qualify for IPL-2018 finals.
