Kashmir: At least two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans lost their lives and 10 militants were wounded on Sunday in gunfire by Pakistani army on the International Border (IB) in Jammu. The incident took place following the Directors-General of Military Operations of India and Pakistan settled to execute the 2003 ceasefire pact.

Shelling by Pakistani troops wounded ten militants in Kana Chak, Shama Chak, Jhiri, Pargwal. All the injured were taken to the Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The dead jawans have been found as assistant sub-inspector Satya Narayan Yadav and Constable Vijay Kumar Pandey.
As per the reports, the firing also injured one policeman at Shama Chak.
CM Mehbooba Mufti asserted, “The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) should hold a dialogue again and stop the bloodshed.”

Between May 15 and May 23, the firing was held across border areas of Jammu taking the lives of 12 persons. On Sunday, Pak Army carried out infiltration bid in the Keran sector in Kupwara. The incident takes lives of one terrorist.
