Maruti Suzuki's Vitara Brezza crosses 4 million units sales figure
Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, said on Tuesday that its small (compact) SUV 'Vitara Brazza' was sold across four lakh units. Brezza has achieved this achievement in just three years of landing in the market. The company said that the sales of Brezza in the current financial year have increased by an average seven percent. Its monthly average sale is 14,675 units.
RS Kalsi, senior executive director (marketing and sales), Maruti Suzuki India said in the statement: "Sales of more than 4 lakh Vitara Brezza in less than three years shows that the customer's focus is on new designs of small SUVs and new Is on the side of the features. Vitara Brezza was introduced in March 2016.
The company claims that market share in Vitaara Brezza's small SUV category is 44.1 percent. A diesel engine of 1248 cc is available in Vitara Brezza. This car comes with manual and automatic gearbox. According to the company, the car gives mileage of 24.3 kilometers per liter.
Significantly, Maruti Suzuki India has started limiting the use of harmful substances (SOCs) such as lead and mercury in their cars. The company gave this information on Monday. The company said that it has started this kind of effort in the recently introduced WagonR and will use it in all the subsequent models.
