MUMBAI: In a shocking incident, Pune Police had received a threat notice from Maoist organizations about killing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis too had got two threat letters from Maoists which were given to the cops later. They were making plot to kill PM Narendra Modi similarly like Rajiv Gandhi incident.

As per sources, "The letters came after the recent anti-Naxal operations in Gadchiroli, in which 39 Maoists were killed. The letters have been handed over to the police for further investigations.” On Thursday, Pune Cops had directed court that a letter was recovered from Maoists which disclosed plans to murder Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Wednesday, five people were detained for connections with the prohibited CPI-Maoist including Dalit activist Sudhir Dhawale, activists Mahesh Raut , Shoma Sen, Rona Wilson and lawyer Surendra Gadling.
"We are thinking along the lines of another Rajiv Gandhi-type incident. It sounds suicidal and there is a chance that we might fail but party must deliberate on our proposal...," public prosecutor Ujjwala Pawar stated. Heavy Rain Hits Mumbai, Flight and Train services affected
