Ford launched two CNG variants of its Aspire in the Indian market.Its price has been kept at Rs 6.27 lakh and Rs 7.12 lakh respectively. The CNG kit has been fitted in a 1.2-liter petrol engine which generates a power of 95 bhp and a peak torque of 120 nm and it has been given a first-in-segment suspension type sylinder which is better for cargo space.
Ford Aspire was given a facelift in October last year. Where the new three-cylinder motor was introduced in the range. At present, this car is available in both petrol and diesel variants. Its diesel unit generates 100 PS power and peak torque of 215 Nm. Both engines have a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Also, there is a 6-speed automatic transmission option here. However, it only get in the 1.5-liter petrol engine and that too in titanium variants. These powertrain generates the power of 123 PS and the torque of 150 Nm.
There will be a standard two year or one-lakh kilometer warranty in the CNG kit in Aspire. Customers will need to serve their CNG kit once every two years or 20,000 kilometers.
The company claims that Aspire CNG is the only CNG-powered compact sedan in its segment, in which standard two front airbags have been given. Talk about the other features in it, it has incorporated in-built satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and 7-inch touchscreen with Infotainment System, Rear View Camera, Remote Central Locking, Automatic Air Conditioner and Power Windows.
