Rajasthan Voting Continues; 6% voting done till 9 a.m
National | Polling is going on for 199 seats out of 200 seats in the Rajasthan assembly. The election is postponed due to the demise of BSP candidate Laxman Singh on Ramgarh seat in Alwar district. Up till 9 a.m., 6.11% voting has been done. Long queues of people are being seen at the polling station. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje voted in Jhalarpatan of Jhalawar district.
On the other hand, Congress leader Sachin Pilot said that the chief minister will be decided only after winning the elections. Congress has not decided the name of Chief Ministerial candidate this time in election. The command of the election was in the hands of the pilot and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. On the other hand, in Telangana, 8.97 per cent voting on 119 seats was registered till 9.00 am in the morning.
For the 15th Legislative Assembly, 4.76 crore voters on 51687 polling booths of 33 districts of the state will use their right to vote for 2274 candidates. These include 2.27 crore female voters. Elections have been held 14 times since 1951 in the state. In which, 4 times BJP, 1 time the Janata Party and 10 times the Congress formed the government. Since 1993, the government has been changing every time. This time the Congress has fought with this hope, but the BJP claims that the tradition that has lasted 25 years will break this time.
This time 88 parties are in the fray. In the 2013 elections, 58 parties participated. The BJP had declared contesting all 200 seats, Congress 195 and BSP in 190 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded candidates in 30 districts. New parties include Public Officials, Hind Congress, Janata Congress, Indian Public Labor, Anjuman and Reservation against Opposition.

Between November 15 and December 5, BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Amit Shah conducted 223 meetings. These include 12 of Prime Minister Modi, 20 of Shah and Vasundhara Raje held 75 meetings and road shows. Meanwhile, Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, organized 433 meetings. Among them Rahul's 9, Sachin Pilot's 230 and Ashok Gehlot held 100 meetings.
Out of the 119 seats of the Telangana assembly, 13 seats of the Naxal-affected will be held till 4 pm and on the remaining seats will be held till 5 pm. More than 28 million voters, including 1.39 crore women, will use their voting rights on 32815 polling stations in the state. There are 1824 candidates in the fray here.
