Rayudu's made a century in just a few balls in Ireland, given a retort to BCCI
The chief selector of the Indian cricket team MSK Prasad announced the team for the upcoming West Indies tour on Sunday, then questions about Ambati Rayudu who retired from international cricket at the press conference raised. During the World Cup selection, Ryudu was ignored despite his good performance and was not given place in the team. Finally, when the team went out of the World Cup due to the problems in the middle order, many former players, including the fans, raised questions on the decision, even after choosing Rayudu.
When the Chief Selector MSK Prasad came in front of the media to announce the Indian team on the West Indies tour last Sunday, he responded. When a journalist questioned Rayudu from Prasad, he told another reason for not choosing Rayudu in the World Cup team. MSK Prasad told that why did not he chose Ambati Rayudu? He said that due to poor fitness, Rayudu did not give a chance.
Ambati Rayudu was kept in the reserve players for the World Cup by the BCCI, despite the injuries to Vijay Shankar, who had opener Shikhar Dhawan and number four in the World Cup, Ryudu was not included in the team. At the same time, Rishabh Pant and Mayank Agarwal were included in the team instead. Disappointed by this, Ambati Rayudu said goodbye to cricket.
Following the retirement, Rayudu obtained citizenship of Ireland and started playing cricket there. Ambati Rayudu, playing in Ireland's domestic cricket, played superb innings of just 100 runs in just 58 balls and responded to Indian selectors and his critics. Ireland has also offered Ambati Rayudu the captaincy of his national cricket team and may soon see Raidu playing as captain in the Ireland team.
