Mathura police on Friday uncovered a gang that used to cheat on the pretext of marriage. The people of this gang used to collect information about the unmarried and make them their prey. The gang consists of seven people, including three women. The gang had caught a young man of the Maghora police station in a hoax and two and a half million rupees. A gang girl marries him in the temple. The bride ran away 10 days later. The victim complained to Magorra Police Station. SSP Shalabh Mathur told that arrested Lakhan resident Nagla Banjara (Agra), Ramveer resident Deng (Bharatpur), Jaiprakash alias Ramnivas resident Navipur (Kosikalam), Girraj Nandanvan Colony (Hathras), Meera Devi resident Nandanvan (Hathras), Usha resident Kaku Kothi (Firozabad) and Khushi Rana are resident of Buddha Vihar (New Delhi). On 22 June, the gang had cheated Sankh's goddess son Nawab Singh for Rs 2.5 lakh. Devi was married to Khushi Rana at the Devi temple in Sankh. 10 days later, Khushi, a member of the gang, escaped with jewellery and cash by giving her husband a faint substance. The youth was cursing himself when he regained consciousness. He said that now the limit has been reached because he had heard about the robbery bride before but he had no idea that this will happen to him too. However, only 3 months later, the police have arrested the accused.
