Yamaha Motor India has updated its Middleweight Street Fighter for the year 2019 model. The company has launched its 2019 Yamaha MT-09 in the country and its price has been kept at Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This bike is about 16,000 rupees expensive from the old model. The booking of the new MT-09 has already been started and its delivery will be started in the next few weeks. New paint schemes and graphics have been provided with light change in the updated MT-09. At the same time, there has been no change in the engine.
What's the change?
The 2019 Yamaha MT-09 now comes with the Night Fluway Paint option and it is now available in Yamaha Blu and Tech Black color. The logo of MT-09 now comes with red finish on the fuel tank. Except for the new color scheme, no styling on motorcycles is changed, which comes with alien-induced twin-pod LED headlamps, in which 14 liters of fuel tank and split seats have been given. Red painted alloy wheels make a good contrast against the colors on the bike.
Speak of power specifications, 2019 Yamaha MT-09 now comes with 847cc in-line three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine and this engine generates 113bhp power at 10,000 rpm and 87.5Nm of torque at 8500 rpm. The engine is equipped with Quick Shift System (QSS) for 6-speed gearboxes and fast-up shifts. A traction control system is also provided with ABS in the bike. MT-09 has a monosock unit of 41mm USD forks up and back, which is both adjustable. As a breaking, the bike has a 295mm dual disc up front and a 245mm single disc in the rear. The weight of the bike is 193 kilograms.
Yamaha MT-09 combat in the Indian market is compete from Triumph Street Triple, Ducati Monster 821, Suzuki GSX-S750 and Kawasaki Z900 bikes. MT-15 will be launched on March 15 this year to increase Yamaha's MT line-up in India.
