Tillu Square Movie Review : How Tillu's Magic Continues to Amaze

The long-awaited and hyped-up movie Tillu Square is out now. This sequel to the movie DJTillu, which is also from Siddhu Jonnalagadda, is finally on many big screens worldwide. Mallik Ram has directed this movie, and it will be released in theatres on March 29 with no competition.

Tillu Square : Crime Comedy Drama

Tillu Square is a crime-comedy drama flick, and it features Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead, who carries the movie to some extent. Before the film’s release, Siddhu Jonnalagadda said that he would make another sequel to this movie. He then said he plans a cameo of Neha Shetty, who played the famous ‘Radhika’ in DJ Tillu, which excited the audience.

The film has a good start by surprising the audience with title cards, with Siddhu’s voiceover recapping the highlights of DJ Tillu. After that, there are some lip locks and skin shows, which make us wonder if the film is going to take the ‘Hot’ zone to attract the youth. Fortunately, once the story starts connecting the dots with 'Radhika' troubles from the DJ Tillu and effortlessly blend them into Tillu Square’s plotline, we are once again hooked up.

Scenes do feel draggy and forced at times, and the ones, like those with Prince Cecil, feel loud. But the one-liners throughout the movie worked very well. Some fans predicted the interval twist, but others loved it.

The second half opens by informing us about a spy operation for Siddhu. To be frank, the writing and one-liners save the second half once again.

Fans expected more here because the tense situations in the first part between Tillu and Radhika were so amazing. In this film, the Tillu-Lilly combo clearly works well, without a doubt. The team has established Tillu as a fresh character and fans has accepted the movie is about instant jokes and casual fun.

Tillu Square Cast

Tillu Square cast Siddhu Jonnalagadda as the main lead, and other fantastic actors like Muralidhar Goud, Praneeth Reddy Kallem, etc., did good justice to their roles.

Sai Prakash’s beautiful cinematography work has turned heads. Since he is also the DOP for DJ Tillu, he feels comfortable creating the original tone for this movie. Naveen Nooli has done sharp editing work and has helped deliver this crisp movie.

Tillu Square Music

Coming into the music part, Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani’s songs feel unique and elevate Tillu Square. Thaman S scored the background music, and he rocked as usual. Producers Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya bankrolled Tillu Square from the start under the banners Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

Overall, Tillu Square is a satisfying, fresh flick that is just like the original DJ Tillu. Tillu Square is definitely a fun movie to enjoy with friends in theatres.
